Craft Day at the Rogers'

Noah's lion, complete with his own roaring sound effects - verrrry scarrry

Waiting is so hard

This is how mommy learned that Noah doesn't quite get what 5 days means... You see, yesterday she told Noah that Nanna and Pappa would be here in 5 days, now this is his new favorite spot.

He will stand there and wait and wait and wait, and when you ask him what he's looking for he says "Nanna and Pappa!"

More pics added by mom - Darren put post its up on the door that say 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 to help Noah understand how many days are leftl :)

Welcome Jenna Mae Payne!

I love this little girl already! This is my very good friend Danaly's newest addition :) She is gorgeous - and already started out right by giving her mommy a wonderful and uncomplicated home birth - good girl!

This is her mommy in labor in the tub - isn't she beautiful?

Congratulations Jim, Danaly and Lucy!!

You can't get milk from fake sheepskin

Darren and I were with Faith at the mall one night and she was in the middle of a growth spurt. Because of this, she was ready to eat about an hour before she normally does. This was our clue...

My dream dessert

A few weeks ago I had a dream about a dessert - I had never seen it or heard of it but when I woke up I really wanted to try it.  It was rice krispy treats, but each square had a marshmallow in the middle and had chocolate drizzled over it.  On Valentines Day I had mentioned to Dar that I wanted to try to make that dessert someday.  He asked me a few questions, looked at my drawing, and then told me to go take a nap :)  When I came downstairs he was in the middle of making my dream bars.  They looked beautiful, and boy were they dreamy!!!

YUMMY!

My detailed description

The finished product (the chocolate is hard fyi)

Noah "helped"

Do you think she's getting enough to eat?

Curious George and The Fully Automatic Fun Hat

In this particular episode, George makes a fun yellow hat since he's not allowed to play with the Man-with-the-yellow-hat's hat... He uses construction paper, tape, pictures, toys, etc.  Noah loves it.

Well, today, Mommy helped Noah make his very own yellow fun hat.  We glued, glittered, taped, and cut - and the results are awesome!

Here he is enjoying his creation.  However, I don't have a pic yet of the finger puppet fish that has been taped to the brim ;)

Here it is in phase I

And the brim has been added...

And finally, the picture window...

10g of fat for THREE TABLESPOONS?!

That is what I just read on the back of my coveted Costco trail mix...  The same trail mix I eat by the handful while sitting on the couch feeding faith.  The very same trail mix I eat more by the cupful, not by the tablespoon-ful.  Do you realize how tiny a tablespoon becomes when you are stuffing nuts, raisins and m&m's in it?  Tiny!

How many tablespoons are in a cup?  Hold on a sec, I'll google it:

Ok, I just about choked.  SIXTEEN tablespoons in a cup.

So, that means every time I sit down with my yummy bag of goodness, I close it up after eating no less than 50 grams of fat.  Not for a meal, not for a dessert... for a snack between meals!

Sorry Costco, I won't be buying that for awhile...  No wonder I plateaued in my loss of baby-weight!!!

Grrrr.
