HERS HERS HERS!

This is for her and her alone.

This space is RE-SERVED for Jenny.

Here is a picture of Jenny doing her favorite thing in the world.

Apparently in my world you can request your very own post on my blog...

A post for so-cal Kelly

Yes, in my world you can get your very own post on my blog :) I was remembering the time you, Emily, Jennifer and I painted coffee mugs before I got married - which is easy to remember because I use those mugs every day! Out of all my wedding gift type things, those mugs will stand the test of time. Emily's broke in one of the moves (sorry Em!) but these three are still looking pretty fine :)

Um, still sleeping...

Every mother would rejoice with me.

It is a beautiful day in the neighborhood indeed...

You hear that?

Yeah, me neither... it's QUIET. You know what that means? Noah has been sleeping for an hour and a half today. He hasn't napped really since being sick because it was too hard to breathe when laying down. This morning he was so happy and rambunctious - it was a great thing to see that the antibiotics are working.

So shhhhhhh, let us relish in this time.

Happy Valentines Day!

After a very stressful week in the Rogers household - Darren had full blown bronchitis and Noah had a very painful sinus infection - Dar still managed to work in a wonderful evening for us. I wish I had brought my camera because we started out the night at Starbucks getting hot chocolate... because Darren knew we would want it on the horse and buggy ride we were taking through downtown Livermore! It was very romantic and we had a great time. It was funny tho' because our driver didn't wear a nice suit or anything, just his full-on hunting camo garb!

After the ride we met up with our great friends Jim and Danaly and tried out a new Tapas restaurant in our area called Movida. The decor was awesome and so was the food. The extra special part of the evening was it was also Jim and Danaly's 8th wedding anniversary. We toasted to them and also to our amazing husbands who work hard to allow us to be stay at home mommies. We are blessed.

Back on the homefront mommy #2 (Jennifer) was with Noah - one of the reasons I felt okay leaving while he was still getting better on his antibiotics. They had a good time :)

A fun surprise party!

We celebrated Jennifer's birthday and last chemo-treatment-day over the weekend. There were around 40 people that showed up - it was awesome! Fuzio's in Dublin was wonderful and the homemade sheet cake and cupcakes for dessert topped off a great night. Here are some pics!

The arrival

We provided bald caps for anyone brave enough to wear them

This is my parents!

One of Jennifer's presents came with a stretchy flower-bow on it and it reminded me of those bands that mom's put on their little baby girl's heads so people know they are girls... Now we can say she really DOES look young for her age!

Wake Up Call

January 2008
Total spent at Target
$565.54

November 2007?
$581.38

I am almost choking as I am typing this!

Clearly Target has some sort of retail MSG in its air filtration... I am looking into a class action suit. I think I've just discovered what we should give up for Lent.

TARGET!

Little Laundry Helper

Noah was so sweet to help me with the laundry this morning. He has watched me do it so many times he must have figured he could handle it on his own.

He did a great job! Except.....

1. He shoved EVERYTHING into the small shelf where his pajamas go, and

2. That basket was filled with DIRTY clothes!

Almost 3 years to the day

Since I had brain surgery - so weird!!

Here's a great recovery pic:

And my favorite shirt

First walk around the block

A reason to celebrate!

I have to give a shout out to my very best friend, Jennifer. On Wednesday, Jennifer completed her FINAL ROUND of chemotherapy treatment for Ovarian Cancer.

WAHOO!

Throughout this entire ordeal, this girl has not complained ONCE. She has endured treatment, exhaustion, needles, multiple doctors visits, achiness, etc. etc. and has come out on the other side a true inspiration and champion in my eyes.

You think you have seen the best of someone - and then they get hit with something like this, and you are privileged to witness firsthand what greatness truly is...

Jennifer, I am so very very proud of you - and honored to call you my best friend. I have learned so much from you over the last 16 years, and have had a crash course in courage and faith over the last 6 months. Thank you b.

And with hair for old times sake ;)
